Interpretation scheduling, simplified.

Quickly schedule district-approved interpreters for all your assignments. One platform for your entire district — secure and built for the people who use it.

We'll build a demo tailored to your district — real data, real workflows.

School districts deserve good software.

Nexus is fast, secure, and intentionally built without unnecessary steps. No surprise costs. Just a tool designed around the people who use it — school staff, administrators, and interpreters.

Three roles. One workflow.

Everyone sees what they need — nothing more, nothing less.

School Staff

Schedule events, specify language needs, and submit for approval. Track status from draft to completion.

  • Create events with saved addresses
  • Submit for admin approval
  • Track interpreter coverage
  • Add notes visible to all participants

Administrators

Management central. Approve events, review applications, recruit interpreters, and oversee your entire district.

  • Pending actions surfaced automatically
  • Manage users, invites, and languages
  • Recruit interpreters for unfilled slots
  • Full audit trail of all activity

Interpreters

Browse assignments that match your languages, apply with one click, and sync your schedule to any calendar.

  • iCal feed for Google, Outlook, Apple
  • Manage your languages and profile
  • Mobile-friendly for on-the-go access

See Nexus in action.

Every role gets a purpose-built experience.

Built for real districts.

Every feature exists because a real workflow demanded it.

Priority Queue

Pending approvals, open applications, and unfilled slots — surfaced in one filterable, searchable dashboard so nothing slips through.

Interpreter Recruiting

See unfilled slots, find matching interpreters, and send targeted invitations — all from one page.

Smart Status Workflow

Events move through draft, pending, approved, and completed. Each transition is tracked and only valid next steps are offered.

Calendar Integration

Every user gets a personal iCal feed URL. Subscribe in Google Calendar, Outlook, or Apple Calendar — no app installs needed.

Event Notes

Add notes to any event. Visible to administrators, staff, and assigned interpreters. Shared context, not siloed conversations.

Audit Trail

Every status change, approval, application, and note is logged with who did it and when. Full accountability.

Notifications

Invite interpreters to your district. Prompt them to apply for assignments they might have missed. Email and SMS, configurable and trackable.

Multi-Language Support

Pre-configured with real language lists. Interpreters manage their own profiles. Events specify exactly what they need.

Role-Based Access

Each role sees only what they need. Interpreters manage their own profiles and availability. Server-enforced permissions, not just hidden buttons.

Mobile Ready

Interpreters check schedules between events. Staff create requests from their desk. Works on any device, no app to install.

Reporting & Export

Filter by date, status, or language and export to CSV. One report covers staffing, coverage gaps, and interpreter utilization.

ADA Compliant

Keyboard navigable, screen-reader friendly, and WCAG-aligned. Accessible to every member of your team and community.

Your data. Your district. Your control.

School districts handle sensitive information. We built Nexus with that responsibility in mind.

🔒

Server-Side Security

All rendering happens on the server — no sensitive data in the browser. Role-based permissions are enforced server-side, not just hidden in the UI. Every connection is encrypted.

📋

FERPA-Aware Design

Nexus schedules interpreters — it doesn't store student records. The system is designed to minimize PII exposure while keeping a full audit trail of who did what and when.

Every district is different.

We've solved common problems, but we know your district has its own challenges. We're eager to hear what you need — whether it's a missing feature, a workflow that doesn't quite fit, or an idea we haven't thought of yet.

About Nexus

Nexus is built by Boomlift Software, a small team in Denver, Colorado. We build tools for people who do important work — and connecting families with interpreters in their school district is exactly that.

We believe school district software should be fast, secure, and respectful of your time. No feature bloat. No vendor lock-in. Just a tool that works.
